Hubcaps are special decorative disks on car wheels that are used to cover some part of a wheel and make your car look cool. It goes without saying that hubcaps should be mounted firmly onto your car rims. Perform a simple test, try to take a hubcap off: the process must be challenging, otherwise, your hubcaps weren’t mounted properly.

To lose a hubcap means, first of all, to ruin the look of your car and then to spend a lot of money and time while buying a new one, in order to avoid such situations, follow these tips:

  • make sure there is no “lubricant” products to the surface of a wheel, since they can increase the slickness of surface and help your car to stay without a hubcap;

  • if your car is a stylish one and has the paint on steel wheels, be sure it will never have hubcaps. If you want them to stay for a long time, use coarse sandpaper and roughen the paint in the place where the hubcap will contact the wheel;
  • if you have tried everything and you still feel like losing hubcaps, may be it is time to change wheels?

A friend of mine has a Ford car and he always loses hubcaps despite all these tricks and tips, so sometimes it is better to buy reliable alloy wheels or to find a cheap dealer and to get budget Ford Hubcaps.
