I am extremely glad to share with you photos of a brand new electric-petrol hybrid race car that will participate in the next 24 Hours Nurnburgring (24-25 May 2008). This race car is a cool variation of the Gumpert Apollo. The car will be piloted by Heinz-Harald Frentzen (the former Formula 1 driver).

The Apollo is a hybrid that operates on both a 3.3 liter V8 bi-turbo engine and an 100 kW electric motor. Everything is thoroughly thought-over, the electric motor will be recharging while the car brakes.

This unusual car caught my eye, it is so bright and attractive, the design is a bit awkward but still promising. What a car, a real monster, have you ever seen a racing car that nice?
