Electric vehicles gain popularity in a very quick way and become popular in a nick of time. I’ve heard that two of the USA states have already created special re-charging stations for electric vehicles. What a fun, yeah? Mercedes has never been behind the progress and they have never been ahead of it as well, it is exactly the company that creates the progress.

Mercedes-Benz has already announced its new plug-in electric version of the SLS AMG Gullwing. They promise it to be zero-emissions version of the SLS and it is about to make a debut in 2015. The fist promo model will debut at the Frankfurt motor show this September.

The car looks mind-blowing and it will be the one to admire with. Most likely it will feature the same aluminum body as most production SLS cars, the car will get some changes in its general appearance – I mean it can get the new chassis and suspension. As for performance, the car will do the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in about 4 seconds and the most impressive option is its top speed – they promise it will get 193 km/h (120 mph). It will need approximately 5 hours for recharging.

This car looks like a real bloody-speed monster.

It's so true. The CVT (continuously variable transmission) operates smoothly with no jerking and having more speeds these days (6 as opposed to 3-5) means better gas mileage, too.
