New Cadillac Provoq Hydrogen Concept will make its debut next week at the 2008 Detroit auto show. The Cadillac Provoq is a luxurious car and it’s design is based on the E-Flex architecture.

The Cadillac Provoq is the innovative fuel cell concept, it would ride 300 miles on a single fill of 13.2 pounds of hydrogen, it also has special solar panels on the roof. They are used to power electronics in interior of the car and its lighting. The Cadillac features brake-by-wire technology and front grille louvers, they are destined to close while at high speed, thus, increasing aerodynamics and to open while at low speed.

As to design, the car is really glam, lines are smooth, the bodywork is sleek. It’s a completely new level of luxury. No doubts, it looks great, but, to tell the truth, this car is unlikely be popular.

It's so true. The CVT (continuously variable transmission) operates smoothly with no jerking and having more speeds these days (6 as opposed to 3-5) means better gas mileage, too.
