All lovers of ultra small cars should applause and be happy because Indian Engineering Services Firm, Tata Technologies, debuted the eMO EV concept during the Detroit Auto Show.

The cars costs only $20,000, but they say that the eMO concept has no plans of being mass produce. The manufacturer claims that the eMO (Electric MObility) concept features a liquid-cooled, dual-motor, front-wheel-drive drivetrain combined with an air-cooled 18.4 kW high-energy/density battery.

Tata eMO EV Concept Revealed in Detroit

The car is capable of reaching 161 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 105 km/h. Front disc and rear drum brakes are antilock with electronic stability control. Steering comes with an electric power-assisted rack-and-pinion system.

It's so true. The CVT (continuously variable transmission) operates smoothly with no jerking and having more speeds these days (6 as opposed to 3-5) means better gas mileage, too.
