BMW 7-Series Active Hybrid Revealed

A couple of days ago BMW have officially revealed their new 7-Series ActiveHybrid. The car was released a bit prior to the Frankfurt Motor Show and it is already scheduled to go on sale in the USA next spring. There is the only one word coming to my mind when I see the new 7-Series Hybrid – luxury, the care is all things luxury and amazing performance. It looks amazing and really mind-blowing. The car comes in the premium luxury class.

The car is incredibly powerful mainly because is offers a modified version of BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the car comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and it easily accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds.

Apart from a powerful engine, BMW comes with an automatic stop/start system that avoids engine idling when the car is stopped. The vehicle can successfully operates on  the lithium-ion battery.

It's so true. The CVT (continuously variable transmission) operates smoothly with no jerking and having more speeds these days (6 as opposed to 3-5) means better gas mileage, too.
