The whole range of Ferrari cars!

Who have ever dreamt about Ferrari? Have you ever imagined yourself driving this fashionable, luxurious car? Have you ever desired to buy one? Yes, yes, yes. But, unfortunately, there are a lot of “buts”. I don’ t even dare to suppose that my parents will buy me a car of this kind, but it is a long dream, that everybody will like to pursue!

So, my second speculations are about a car of my dream – red, sporty Ferrari! First of all – Ferrari – is a name of the Italian sports car manufacturer Enzo Ferrari. The company was founded in 1929 as Scuderia Ferrari and it financed drivers and manufactured race cars before moving into production of street legal vehicles in 1947. The company’s contribution into racing, especially in Formula One is really invaluable. Nowadays, Ferrari is not only a world’s-leading car manufacturer, but also a trendy and prestigious brand, producing the whole range of goods: eyewear, pens, perfume, clothing, high tech bicycles and even laptops.

Its symbol has impressed me for many years and only 3 hours ago I found out what does it mean. As for me it transfuses courage, power, energy, strength, convey a feeling of freedom and comfort. And also it is so noble. By the way, the symbol is the following: a black prancing stallion on a yellow shield, usually with the letters S F (for Scuderia Ferrari), and with three stripes of green, white and red (the Italian national colors) at the top. The road cars have a rectangular badge on the hood and this race logo on the side.

So, after a small excursion into a history, let’s return to our reality. It says that, Ferrari is a beautiful and expensive picture, a stylish car, a fetish. This car shows the status of its owner and a size oh his/her bank account. It will never become dowdy and outdated, so firstly you go mad from it and than after years it becomes a rarity and you can make a profitable bargain!

Finally! After dreaming of this marque for decades, I bought a Ferrari. Well, it’s not exactly near the top of the food chain like an Enzo, but it IS a Ferrari… A 1983 308 GTBi QV.

It is a lot of fun to drive, too. The key to this older model is to keep the engine in first gear and under 4,000 RPM for about 10 minutes so the oil can warm to around 148 degrees. That’s easy because it can still do the side-road speed limit at that speed. After that, second gear is a quick shift away.

The way it hugs the turns at speed is awesome. While driving, a few other cars tend to volley for the position directly behind it. I find that fascinating. At speed, on an exit or entrance ramp, I can put some distance between this car and theirs.

Sure, it’s 25 years old, but it is in top phsycal and mechanical condition. It has been meticulously maintained, and think of how it must have been during its heyday… A nearly 300 bhp car with 5 speeds during an era when most cars were barely shoveling 150 bhp with 3 speeds.

So, to your readers who drool over ANY new car and think it is unaffordable… Wait! Cars always dip down in cost, then recover at some point in time. When the time is right, and the car of your earlier dreams is at its lowest value, that’s the time to pounce on it. The Ferrari 308′s are plentiful now, but the GTBi with quattrovolvole (4 valves per cylinder) engine is a lot rarer. This car has been increasing in value annually, so I can’t lose money on it.

My daily driver is a 2000 BMW 323ci convertible. This Ferrari is just a fun insane investment.

    I always enjoy your website!

Hello, dear Mykol, I am so glad to have a hearing from you and I am extremely glad that your dream has finally realized and now you are an owner of the Ferrari. And it is a real investment, because value of this car will only increase. Also, if you, of course, don’t mind, please, send me photos of you and your Ferrari I want to post them here. And again – you a great man and I wish you and your Ferrari good life, health and luck, luck, luck…

[...] Ferrari, of course, no list can be full without this name. Red Ferrari with convertible roof, to tell the truth, it always was and will be one of the most expensive and authoritative cars. This movie has completely changed the youth attitude to life, since the release of this movie, millions of teens started driving their fathers cars. Oh, I have almost forgotten to mention – this car is so fast… Hold tight! [...]

It's so true. The CVT (continuously variable transmission) operates smoothly with no jerking and having more speeds these days (6 as opposed to 3-5) means better gas mileage, too.
