Renault Shows Europe’s First Front Swivel Seat

Frankly speaking, I was seriously worried about Renault brand since they haven’t made anything new in 10 or 15 years. All their cars were rather boring and completely traditional. But here it comes …not a car, but a stunning swivel seat.

Renaul swivel seat

I am glad that Renault turned to be the first European motor manufacturer that created this feature and included it in its catalogue. Thanks to this seat getting into a car for older and overweight people will be much easier. As to me, this option will suit everybody.

In order to turn this seat either left or right you have to pull a simple lever and that’s all. The rotation angle can be adjusted up to 75 degrees and the seat is capable of “enjoying” passengers of up to 130kg of weight.

I am ready to bet we are looking at a new car trend!

The most interesting part – optional swivel seat will be available in most major European markets from June. Its price won’t make you jump for joy since it costs $2,174 for Renault Clio in France.

It's so true. The CVT (continuously variable transmission) operates smoothly with no jerking and having more speeds these days (6 as opposed to 3-5) means better gas mileage, too.
