BMW is finally here to announce their first and awesome ConnectedDrive Connect (CDC) semi-autonomous driving system that ensures perfect and easy self-driving of this or that car.
The system uses four types of sensors, radar, cameras, laser scanners and ultrasound distance sensors, to stay aware of the car’s surroundings and you can easily and safely merge at speeds up to 130 km/h (81 mph).
Although we have already seen tons of concepts for self-driving cars, but the one from BMW looks very impressive and reliable.
I love the fact that BMW wanted the car to look as much like a normal 5 Series as possible. They say the system could be available in production cars within 10 to 15 years.
