Spyker Spider C12 Laturbie Ride

Oh thank you, Angel!

My Ferrari was originally owned by Dutch race driver, John (Hans) Hugenholtz, Jr. who was interim C.E.O. of Spyker Cars. He is now a high principal with Spyker Cars, and it’s worthy noting that his father designed most of the F1 race circuits around the world. But, back to Spyker…

The C12 Laturbie will be raced in the the ALMS, and the C12 Zagato will be raced this year in 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Laturbie shown above is a $350,000 400 hp car.

Spyker Cars used to enter the Formula 1, but no longer engage in that due to the high costs involved. In keeping with their love for Formula 1, Spyker Cars have F1 designs (nose, air scoop, mirrors, fuel flap and diffuser) incorporated into their styling.

The all-aluminum bodied rear-wheel driven C12 Zagato features a “double bubble” panoramic roof, has a 6 liter engine (W12) rated at 500 hp, and goes zero to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 193 mph. It also costs a mere $650,000.00, so get two of them in case your Bugatti Veyron won’t be available (LOL).

The interior has quilted leather with lots of stitching, and the instrument guages are all made by Chronoswiss. These guages are surrounded by a brushed aluminum instrument panel.

This is a fast car, and a beautifully machined piece of art due to its incorporation of current F1 designs as well as turn-of-the-century airplane-designed handles and knobs.

Spyker has a unique design, and is piercing the world of racing.

I’m glad you included Spyker among your other unique cars of the world.

Take care, my friend!
