In the latest interview Bugatti President Wolfgang Dürheimer revealed some hot and new details about the 2013 Galibier. Apart from the fact that new car looks juicy and the one to die for … it promises to be the “undisputed” leader in the luxury segment.

The Galibier will be launched in late 2012 and come with a sixteen-cylinder engine. The company is about to produce 1,000 to 1,500 units.

Nothing has been said about the price but it seems to me this car will cost much more than $1,440,000.

That is exactly the situation with a 20-year old Dutchman. He was stopped was speed violation but his fine was too expensive to be true. This boy had to surrender his car, a Bugatti Veyron, and his license.

Ouch, the Dutch police seems to be very strict!

This guy rode 160 kilometers per hour over the Doenkade in Rotterdam, and the speed limit was 80.

By the way, this Bugatti is worth 1.8 million Euros.

Oh, I would love to drive this monster!

Just let me cite you my beloved part of this car press release: “This car’s greatest strength is its ability to make you feel like a child again” … If my memory serves me correctly…  and it does, I hardly can remember 2-million dolls or anything of this kind among my toys. So, this car can make me feel like a fool instead of a child.

Many people will ask why fool? Because what else can be said about big boys and girls jumping the queue in order to spend $2.3 million for an ordinary Bugatti Veyron with Hermes logo?  It was my opinion, if you have another point of view, feel free to share it with me. And now, just some technical features:

This Veyron Fbg par Hermes possesses the same 16.4 engine as the previous Bugatti Veyron and produces 736 kW (1,001 hp) and 1,250 Nm of torque. As to the top speed – it is rather, even very high – 407 km/h. What most buyers will like the most: the special colour of the bonnet, the letter H (for Hermès) on the aluminum wheels and air vents, and, of course, on a new grille and fuel filler door.

This car is not just a supercar, it is a dream car. I just can’t take my eyes from it, I love it! But… It costs just 8 million dollars!

This car was presented in 2005 but it is still much spoken about. It can be named one of the most expensive cars in the world. It is a perfect show car. So, the new Maybach Exelero is a 2-seat car with a free-breathing, twin-turbocharged, 5.9-liter V-12 engine. New Maybach is an ultra-lux sedan with highly durable tires and very very powerful.

But, before deepening into the technical specifications, let’s speak about its appearance: oh, it is adorable! Extremely stylish, bold, posh and even vulgar. It is a loud car, I must say, due to 2 pornographic side pipes, this car is not seen but heard. Sometimes it may seem, that it is a thunderstorm sounds. No doubts, the interior is made of leather, the door opens wide and it seems that you are entering a dangerous cave and it is no way to escape from it. Despite glam look and incredible price, the instrument panel is still traditionally Maybach. This car weighs approximately 3 tons.

Top speed is a rather vague index, some car manufacturers even can’t measure it precisely, but nevertheless, the following data looks astonishing! The list of the top speed cars is to your attention!

• Hennessey Viper Venom 1000

This car was produced in 2005 and its max speed 255 mph. Country of its production is America. Viper Venom 1000 is an upgraded version of the Dodge Viper, to tell the truth almost each detail was change, more powerful engine and other technical features, visual detail (bigger rims), braking system. This car can reach 0-60 acceleration in 2.25 seconds! It is amazing, namely this circumstance made it a winner and allow to surpass Bugatti Veyron.

• Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette

Produced in 1988 it still occupies the second place in the fastest cars. Its top speed 254.8 mph was reached by John Lingenfelter as the driver, acceleration 0-60 in 3.9 seconds! By the way, such a speed has never been officially stated (as to this car!)

• Bugatti 16/4 Veyron

In this list Bugatti Veyron is the most new car – year of its production is 2006. Its max speed 253 mph, actually, not many people believe that Bugatti will be able to become one of the fastest cars in the world. This super-car has a 6-cylinder engine, 7-speed semi-automatic gear box. To tell the truth, this car was almost ready, the reason is it didn’t has a reliable cooling system, after its invitation, Bugatti Veyron 16/4 was finally made.

• Dauer 962 Le Mans

This car is already 13 years old. But it is still a rather competitive one. its max speed 251.4 mph. There are two versions of this yellow monster a road (street) one and, of course, a race one. The first type debuted in 1993, and Dauer worked at a race car version – he was preparing it to ‘ 24 Hours of Le Mans. Actually, this cat won the competition, left its trace in history and Dauer turned his attention back to road cars manufacturing.

• Vector WX3 Concept

Year of appearing 1992. Max speed 250 mph. This car was created in California by Vector Aeromotive Corporation of Wilmington. According to the original idea this car has to be painted silver and nowadays it has a light green colour. to its designer this car was a first step to realizing of its dream – making a super-car WX-3 with max speed 253 mph.

It was a list of first 5 fastest super-cars, it looks astonishing, yeah! These cars are adorable, they are not just cars, they take part of soul of their manufacturers and designers! And if you ever will have one, don’t forget to treat it right!

Bugatti Royale.

There was an idea to create the most expensive car in the world. Bugatti Royale was called to make this dream come true. But, it was a giant fiasco, during five years only six Bugatties found their owners. Unfortunately and unexpectedly they were unpopular. Two of Royales now can be found in the Musee National de l’Automobile de Mulhouse, in France.

Chevrolet Corsair.

According to its technical characteristics, these cars was destined to became a road star! The most powerful and the speediest car of the epoch! Suddenly, everything turned upside down, because of a Ralph Nader’s notorious book, named “Unsafe at Any Speed”. It is no mater, to menion, that Chevroet Corsair was the main theme in this widely spread book! Corsair had no chances!

Ford Edsel.

This car was named after Henry’s son – Edsel, and its main aim was to take Ford out of the post-war crisis. But, the American public was a tough nut to crack. They didn’t like it at all; they can’t stand the Edsel’s peculiar features and striking insecurity. Selling of this car turned into a giant fiasco and it tool two years for Ford to became the worthiest sellers of that time.

EV-1.

When in 1996 General Motors started the manufacturing of the EV-1 – the first electric car, they supposed to surprise the customers. As a practice showed, they did, but, unfortunately there were a lot of difficulties while buying a car and than driving it. So, this project failed to succeed.

Jaguar 3.4.

The roads along the A3 near Guildford were wet and unreliable, Mike Hawthorn has just became a F1 World Champion, he was driving his tuned Jaguar 3.4. While drive he noticed his encounter – racer Rob Walker in Mercedes 300SL, they began racing. Hawthorn’s car went into the roadside, the driver didn’t survive.

Mercedes-Benz 770K.

Adolf Hitler was found of cars, he can’t drive himself, but as far as it was possible, he used to move on wheels. His favorite was Mercedes-Benz 770K – a super car of its time. He lost his life together with it after the war.

Lincoln Continental convertible.

John F Kennedy was keen on traveling in the presidential Lincoln Continental convertible. He liked this car but it didn’t save his life. JFK was assassinated with a shot made by Lee Harvey Oswald in Dallas (November 22 1963). Since that no President was traveling in a convertible car. Nowadays, this car can be found at the Henry Ford museum (Michigan).

Mazda RX-8.

Do you have an image of Mazda RX-8 in your memory? This car was considered to be ahead of time, as to its technical characteristics and brand-new appearance. Unfortunately, it was of great insecurity and had no popularity in masses.

Mini.

Imagine, dark night in London 1983, 26-year-old film editor Stephen Waldorf was in his Mini Car. Policemen were driving along this car and decided that a dangerous armed criminal was inside, he made 14 gunshots. Thanks to the God, Stephen stayed alive. Policeman wanted to kill him, but he was lack of bullets. The editor survived and was later given 150,000 pound sterlings.

Porsche Turbo.

Porsches are among the most popular people killers. No doubts, they are expensive, gorgeous but ill-fated. It seems, they can stand any leader, or a person who will be in charge of this car!

I found out that it is Bugatti Veyron. When the Bugatti Veyron 2-seater supercar first made its debut as a concept vehicle in 1999, it featured an 18-cylinder engine. Only 300 Veyron 16.4s will be built, costing approximately $1.2 million each and the manufacturers has received 140 orders, each accompanied by a €300,000 down-payment.

The company is legendary for producing a few of the fastest sports cars in the world. And Bugatti it is a surname of the Italian man, the founder of these cars – Ettore Bugatti.
