Frankfurt Auto Show 2007 has changed everything and Toyota presented a car, whose motto is: “Think small!” The new Toyota IQ will hit the markets of such countries as: Russia, Brazil and China. Actually, I came across this car, while looking at the results of the Frankfurt Show and I liked the review of John Neff, so I had a closer look at this car.

Porsche Cayenne GTS in Frankfurt 2007

Hello, hello! Let’s move further with our reviews from the Frankfurt Auto Show 2007. It lasted only 2 days but preparations were exhausting and the results are still amazing. Tell me please your associations, when you hear the word and Porsche? Something really expensive, unusual and exotic? Yeah? Am I right? But, you know, I was really surprised to see a lot of Porsches in Ukraine, I used to believe that this country is a poor one.

Porsche Cayenne GTS

So, it was a small introduction, before unveiling the curtain of mystery about the New Porsche Cayenne S model called the GTS. First of all, let’s make it clear, new Porsche is just a sport version of the existing Cayenne S model. At the Frankfurt Motor Show it was given a name the GTS. So, what made this car a sport one? Namely, new driving aids: Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), anti-roll system, air and electronically-controlled suspension. Moreover, Cayenne lowers by 24mm (previously, it was exceptionally the prerogative of sport cars). It looks like a sport car made for a city driving. Price will start from £54,350 and this car will be available from February 2008 (mainly in the UK and in Ireland) and in Germany it will cost not less than 76,725 Euros.

Now, let’s turn our attention to the technical specifications of this car:

  • 4.8-litre V8 petrol engine;
  • direct fuel injection;
  • consumes 13.9 litres/100 km;
  • 6-speed manual transmission;
  • speed up from 0 to 100km/h in 6.1 sec;
  • 21-inch multi-spoke wheels;
  • 12-way adjustable sports seats (made from a mixture of leather and modern lining);
  • 2 new colours;
  • increased boot space;
  • is a SUV;

Volkswagen from Frankfurt Auto Show 2007

Frankfurt Auto Show can be named as one of the most important events of the year. It is a large international motor show, the largest in Europe. It gathers millions of people from all over the world and presents the best cars of the following year, also set the priorities in car buying and determines the perspectives of car manufacturing industry.

It is not a secret that this auto show takes place in Germany, so most of the cars are Gfrankfurt.unveilpageerman. Such manufacturers as: BMW, Audi and Mercedes used to show their new models and, as a rule, there shows bring a lot of orders onto the presented models and raise the demand onto them. Sometimes there can be seen unexpected breakthroughs at this Show, like Japanese debut or U.S. debut. There are more than 10 exposition halls at this Show and very often it can takes you up to 10 minutes of walk to change one hall for another. Recent years it seems more like a real Show, and not the auto one. Famous singers and celebrities visit it, the atmosphere is glamorous and promising.

The number of exposing cars goes up every year. For example, in 2003 there were only 30 new concept car, the number of Mercedes and BMW cars was really small.

Frankfurt Auto Show 2007 has a motto: “Let’s make our world cleaner!” The Earth around must be green and not polluted. It is possible to see there any kinds of engines: diesel, diesotto, hybrids. But, if you don’t care about the Earth and planet, Auto Show 2007 offered a great number of luxurious sedans and sport cars.

New Citroen C-Cactus

If to have a closer look at the Frankfurt Auto Show 2007, it is possible to notice, that each company decided to be so ecologically correct and environmentally friendly, that it is even difficult to believe and sometimes sounds too good to be truth!

Citroen has made a new car, that is a combination of nature protection and economy. Citroen C-Cactus, a very strange name to a car, but it is metaphoric, this car is an embodiment of the economize petrol consuming, so it needs as much fuel, as the cactus needs water. If to be precise, new Citroen needs 3.4 L of fuel for 100 km. And the number of emissions in the atmosphere is fantastic! In a good sense of this word! It is as minimal as possible: 78g/kg of carbon dioxide. This car is focused on essential values, on comfort and ergonomics.

New Concept Car Citroen C-Cactus 

So, as we already know, this car is made in accordance with 2 principles: economy and ecological friendliness. The first one was described below and the second one will be viewed below. New Citroen consists of 200 parts. Any other conventional car has not less than 450 parts. Another plus to this car – its price – $25,000. Rather cheap, taking into consideration the whole advantages of the car!

Let’s go forward, both car interior and exterior and each detail are thought-over. Some functions were united, some parts removed, all these gave additional comfort to the car.

Design of Citroen C-Cactus Apple Door

New Citroen C-Cactus can be proud of cheerful, modern, bold, bright and attractive design. It conveys the simplicity of form, at the same time being a powerful one. By the way, there were made some interesting peculiarities in interior designing, namely:

  • boot space became much larger: 1100 liters;
  • there is no dashboard (instead of it new Citroen C-Cactus has a fixed hub of the steering wheel);
  • presence of modular stowage system;
  • modern audio system;
  • panoramic glass roof;
  • cruise control;
  • there is a simple sliding window opening mechanism in this car;
  • possesses highly-comfortable seats;

Some other interesting features of Citroen C-Cactus:

  1. Almost all the materials it is made from are recycable;
  2. While driving in city it can be named ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle);
  3. Weighs only 1,306 kg;
  4. Top speed – 150 kph;
  5. Michelin has developed special low-profile tyres for the Citroen;
  6. Bold interior design with an apple images;
  7. Air conditioning with automatic temperature control;
  8. Electric handbrake;
  9. Touch screen navigation system;
  10. Made on C4 platform.

New Mercedes Benz F 700

Frankfurt Auto Show is a very important car event of the year. It draws millions of visitors and can be named a performance of the year. Each manufacturer is thoroughly preparing to the following show and chooses which car to expose. Mercedes cars are one of the best cars. They are a perfect combination of quality, reliability, ideal look and price. They are not as expensive and authoritative as Ferraris are, but, nevertheless, they are still worth paying our attention to.

Mercedes Benz F700, Frankfurt

This year Mercedes will be presented with a new model Mercedes-Benz F 700. Only 2 words can be used to describe it: dazzling and dizzying. It is a prototype of a future S-class Sedan. As to main characteristics and peculiarities of this car:

  • it embodies low consumption and friendliness to the surroundings;
  • 4-cylinder car; gets a V-6 power experimental engine, that unites turbo charging and diesel compression. This engine is much spoken about, because it is a hybrid of Diesotto (combination of two words diesel and surname of the inventor Otto) and standard Mercedes engine. The emissions from such engine will be minimal;
  • has a gas engine;
  • 1.8 l engine;
  • can speed up to 60 mph only in 7.5 seconds;
  • top speed is nearly 120 mph;
  • consumes 5.3 L pf fuel per 100 km;
  • presents a new engine producing technology Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI);

Mercedes Benz F700

As to the price, it is currently unknown, but we perfectly know, that cars with a diesel engine are more expensive, that those with standard engines. But Mercedes F 700 and its brand-new engine can be a perfect alternative to the existing ones.

No doubts, the car looks very glamorous, stylish and fashionable. It will be an adornment of the roads!
