Eco-friendliness is a key point of modern life and production. To be green and eco-friendly is cool and fashionable. So, one of Japan’s biggest auto manufacturers is not an exception and they have just released a brand new Nissan LEAF – that stands for a fully electric-powered car. According to manufacturers it will the world’s first affordable zero-emission vehicle. The company promises rather budget friendly and liberal on these autos.

Nissan LEAF looks nice and has nothing in common with cute and small, smile provoking city vehicles. The car comes with is a set of laminated lithium-ion batteries and an electric motor. It is not a hybrid, so it doesn’t have any fuel motors or so.

The LEAF is a fully electric car, that does not emit harmful gases and has no tailpipe. The batteries can be recharged within 8 hours using a standard home socket.

The Nissan LEAF will be launched in Japan, Europe and the United States in 2010.

The BMW promises to the its best in order to create a car ensuring “sheer driving pleasure” combined with environmental friendliness.

P.S. This picture has no relation to the one, debuting at Frankfurt.
