Very often they are called supercars, because they are unsurpassed, beautiful and astonishing. Supercar is a term uniting sport, luxurious, high-end cars. As a rule, they are rare cars, not for masses. But, a car that used to be a supercar 15 years ago, it not a supercar now. So, a notion supercar very often depends on time and changes in the course of it.

For the first time this term was used by famous British motor journalist L. J. K. Setright while giving a review to the Lamborghini Miura.
