I am extremely glad to announce that the Nissan GT-R has been officially named the 2009 International Car of the Year. The most interesting part  – the company won’t present its cars at the NAIAS this year. Let us find out what is so special about this car?

The SEMA Show is one of the most important car shows (Specialty Equipment Market Association). So, it deals with various car products and accessories. Also, cars transformers are very popular here, I mean an ordinary car or a truck can become a brand new – speedy, beautiful and attractive. Only the best manufacturers and car-makers can visit SEMA Show, because it is not open to everybody. For example, there were more than 50,000 domestic and international buyers at the SEMA Show 2006. Moreover, at the SEMA Show everybody can visit a special seminar or training and find more about cars.

Nissan Rogue S is a brand-new car, it is a SUV and, moreover, it is a new competitor of the popular Toyota RAV4. Let’s have a closer look at it.

Nissan Company is trying its best to draw customers attention and to make their cars really competitive. Competitive and attractive to whom? A very interesting question… Of course, to young generation, to young drivers. It is aimed to satisfy their needs and demands. The new Nissan was introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show. This car has a special name – Rogue, it shows the whole independence of car, its desire to rebel, to prove to the rest of the world, that it is worth our attention and to show its strong character.

According to Bill Bosley words, the New Nissan is already the 5th SUV from Nissan Company, but it is a rather sophisticated car, more comfortable, more user-friendly (if it is possible to say so about a car ). From the 1st sight, it reminds Hyundai Santa Fe (almost the same length, wheelbase). But, it is a completely different SUV. Also, there can be traced some coincidences with the Honda CR-V. But, to tel the truth, the Rogue is made on the same platform “C” as Nissan’s Sentra.

Interior and Exterior of the car.

First of all, let’s look inside of the car, well, truly speaking, nothing special but it is not bad. Just nothing extraordinary. The design is finished, of high quality, seats are made from a special fabrics and turned to be very, even VERY comfortable. The car has a very big gloves department, but you can’t put valuable things there – it possesses no lock. The car has some decorative details in a form of metal on brushes, while the rest of the car interior is black. There is enough space for knees and a person, of course. Moreover, if you need additional space in the boot, it is possible just to fold back seats.

What about the exterior? Actually, as for me it is just a successful mixture of the all above mentioned models. But I’ve got 2 friends and they don’t like its appearance. So, tastes differ, the most important issue – this car takes care about the environment and the fuel economy is amazing. One more advantage – the car possesses a good sound insulation. But, unfortunately, while driving it is not sporty at all. It looks like it swims but not conquers the road.

As the Frankfurt Auto Show 2007 has finished, it is came time to open new shows and to view new cars, the next show, that I am going to pay my attention at is – Tokyo Motor Show (October 26 to November 11).

The funniest and the most unusual model of this show will be (I am almost sure) an electric-powered Pivo 2 concept car from Nissan manufacturer. Pivo looks like a space ship and has the most bold design of the year and may be the following years as well.

The new Pivo possesses a cabin that revolves 360-degrees, so you don’t have to reverse, also, a front door can be accessed from any position. This car has only 2 seats. It is rather small, so the maneuverability is extremely high.

Pivo is a very user and environmentally friendly car. Because of: Nissan’s Around View Monitor (reduces the appearance of blind spots), mounted in dash infrared commander – provides to driver an opportunity to operate the navigation and stereo systems with a single finger movement. Also, Pivo has lithium-ion battery and new Nissan Super Motor.

Nissan Pivo 2 is aimed to be an ideal car for city driving. It is easy to park and easy to drive, also, it is easy to push through crowded city roads. The length of the car is just 2,700 mm. The driver will seat in the middle and can take 2 more passengers, they will seat side-by-side. A door is also electrically powered.

By the way, have you heard a Russian word PIVO? That means beer. But, this car has no connection to it, its name came from the English word PIVOT (meaning a turning point). Also, because of its extremely sophisticated parking abilities.

Surrealistic appearance

Nissan Pivo is a unique combination of innovations, it is even hard to believe, that such number of innovations can be united in one car. Pivo offers incredible packaging characteristics, high distribution of torque to 4 wheels and possesses 2 electric motors. This concept car is based on a drive-by-wire technologies (the car weigh less and has less mechanical parts). I mean, you can do everything by wire: to stop, to steer, to park. Thus, a steering wheel is so comfortable and compact.

A dash-mounted infrared (IR) commander provide a driver with a possibility to switch radio and audio system without taking eyes from the road. Moreover, Also, Pivo can be proud of a new human-machine interface. For example, if you want to make music louder, just raise your finger. You will never feel lonely with Pivo 2, it has a Robotic Agent, that will make your life funnier and more exciting. Conversations are possible in English and Japanese.

It is completely another car: fresh, new, bold, hog-wild… She is an uncomparable and fabulous amrita. Its design is avangard and gorgeous. This car is sleek and plump at the same time. But under a mask of luxurious indifference can be found brand-new technologies and thought-over view onto the details, comfort and security of passengers and driver. It was designed for self-confident, sophisticated people, knowing what they want from life and how to get it. This car and its owner is friendly, clever and demanding. Over the last 10 years was sold 1.3 million of these autos only in Europe. Nowadays, it is one of the most popular car in the world (I mean among cars of segment B).

New Nissan Micra is an international auto. Its design was made in Japan, there they have another name – Nissan March. Interior was designed in Europe and it is destined to the European market, but it was construcred in the UK. Christopher Ritz, its main designer has told, that this car is friendly and it combines both capacity and portability. There is no agression in its appearance.

A brand-new technology was used while creating Micra. It has a so-called electronic security key, that allows its owner to facilitate the usage and driving. You can actuate a motor without inserting a key into the ignition. Also, there is installed a new suspender, new type of motor and turning radius only 4.6 metres. This model includes two airbags and such systems as ABS, EBD, Brake Assist. As a result, this new model is quiter because of the usage of hydraulic mounting, front subframe which reduce the vibration while driving.
